🗓️ Costco Grocery Delivery: How It Works
My system is designed to give you flexibility while ensuring delivery slots are reserved, protected, and professionally managed. First-time clients seeking ongoing service may be asked to schedule a brief introductory meeting before booking delivery.
Step 1 — Build Your Grocery List (Free)
Browse the store and select the items you want.
Once logged in, you can generate a free, itemized shopping list—no payment required.
• Your list is emailed to you instantly
• You may share it with others to coordinate group orders
• You decide if and when you want delivery
This step allows you to plan confidently before scheduling service.
Step 2 — Upload Your List & Request Delivery
When ready, visit Delivery Scheduling and upload the shopping list you previously generated.
You’ll complete a short Step-1 form providing:
-
Your name
-
Your email (used for logging in)
-
The total dollar amount shown on your grocery list
This confirms order size before scheduling.
Step 3 — Minimum Order & Small-Order Fee
To ensure efficient routing and service quality:
• Minimum grocery total: $75
• Orders under $75 are accepted with a $25 small-order fee
Group ordering is encouraged and often eliminates the small-order fee entirely.
Step 4 — Schedule Delivery & Review Estimated Fees
After submitting Step-1, you’re automatically taken to Step-2 scheduling.
Here you will:
• Select your preferred delivery date and time
• Enter your delivery location using the map
• View estimated service fees, calculated from your grocery total and location
You may schedule deliveries days or weeks in advance, subject to availability. Once submitted, your request is sent for review.
Step 5 — Secure Your Time Slot (Non-Refundable Hold)
After submitting Step-1, you’re automatically taken to Step-2 scheduling.
Here you will:
• A confirmed delivery date and time
• A request for a non-refundable $35 scheduling hold
This hold:
• Secures your delivery window
• Is applied toward your final service cost
• Prevents last-minute cancellations and schedule conflicts
No delivery slot is reserved without this hold.
Step 6 — Deposit & Pre-Shopping Confirmation
Prior to shopping, you’ll receive:
• A request for a 50% grocery deposit, minus the $35 hold already paid
About an hour before shopping begins, you’ll be notified to confirm:
• Availability for substitutions
• Availability to receive delivery
This ensures accuracy and on-time delivery.
Step 7 — Completion, Receipt & Final Payment
Once shopping is complete:
• You’ll receive a copy of the store receipt
• A request for the remaining balance is sent
Payment in full is required before or at the time of delivery. Delivery is then completed as scheduled.
