About the Founder
A Founder Focused on Practical Systems That Help Others Succeed
Co-Op Shopper was created by Art Duy, a career problem-solver with more than 35 years of experience as a licensed general contractor in California and Utah. Art has always gravitated toward practical innovation—developing systems that make work easier, faster, and more efficient for the people who rely on them.
In the early 2000s, he designed a grout-free modular granite system that became an affordable alternative to slab granite. Over 3,000 installations later, it proved that well-designed solutions can reshape an entire workflow. That same systems-driven mindset now sits at the heart of Co-Op Shopper.
From Construction to Digital Innovation
After the 2008 recession, Art taught himself computer skills, digital workflows, and online form systems—tools he began using to streamline processes he saw failing in other industries. A move into kiosk operations at Costco introduced him to professional shoppers, resellers, and gig-economy workers who shared similar frustrations with the grocery industry.

Seeing the Problem Up Close
Art’s daily interaction with gig workers made one thing clear:
The grocery delivery space had lost its personal touch.
Workers were restricted by:
-
rigid app rules
-
unpredictable earnings
-
limited creativity
-
high platform commissions
-
branding they couldn’t control
They were doing all the labor while tech companies collected the profits. Customers, meanwhile, were paying inflated prices with little transparency. Art saw a better path—one that restored control to the operator and lowered costs for the customer.
What I Do Today
Art now operates a professional grocery delivery and pickup service powered by the Co-Op Shopper system. This includes:
-
Structured Costco shopping at true in-store pricing
-
Reliable pickup and staging at the 400 West Salt Lake City location
-
Clear, transparent pricing and markups
-
A clean, efficient ordering experience for customers
The service acts as both a real-world operation and a working model for the platform others can adopt.

Why Co-Op Shopper Exists
Co-Op Shopper was built to give entrepreneurs, gig workers, and property managers something the industry never offered them:
A commission-free, operator-owned grocery delivery business with room for creativity, personality, and sustainable earnings.
The platform provides:
-
A fully updated Costco store
-
Order workflows designed for real-world efficiency
-
Tools for pre-arrival stocking and hospitality markets
-
Multiple service models (delivery, pickup, stocking)
-
A path for individuals to build a business they own, not just work for
No corporate restrictions.
No revenue siphoned off the top.
No limits on how operators present or grow their brand.
A Founder Committed to Real-World Results
Art’s philosophy is simple:
Build systems that work, make them predictable, and give people the tools they need to succeed on their own terms.
Co-Op Shopper reflects that in every detail—clean workflows, clear pricing, consistent store updates, and operational standards that customers and operators can trust.
A Platform Designed for Growth
Co-Op Shopper is evolving into a network of independent operators who deliver a higher level of service in their markets. The goal is straightforward:

Help more people launch and grow grocery delivery and stocking businesses that are profitable, professional, and fully theirs. If you're exploring the idea of starting your own service or expanding an existing one, Co-Op Shopper gives you the structure, tools, and support to run your business with confidence.
